Why did the thread get any further than this?

(And, if you made that yourself crmcatee, then bravo sir!)

Hard to find good pics but Facel-Vega's HK500 is beautiful.

IIRC the Facel was the car that introduced the centre consol as we know it.

I quite like the one in my XJ40. Even though the digital dashes broke a lot, I haven't yet had a problem with mine:

Is that the priest from The Omen in the red box?

Special mention to one of my alltime favourite cars/interiors.

The McF1 has already been posted a few times so here's another simplistic 90's beauty.

Love the Cerb dash (as above) and what other car has a built in nut cooler/fart disperser? smile

I do, however, rather like ths Spyker dash too

The Spyker must have the earlier steering wheel IMHO.

Just a quick question on where you nicked my photograph from? I thought I disabled the download button on flickr... anyway doesn't matter.

Other than the Spyker I put forward this:

Always thought behind the wheel of a 6.0 was a nice place to be.

The only time fake wood has ever been cool - that 'veneer' was painted onto the metal dashboard by hand to save weight. But just look at the attention to detail - not even a Rolls-Royce matchwood inlay would take that much time and dedication to complete.

I'd love to see Facel-Vega revived as a French answer to Rolls-Royce actually.

Fiat Uno Turbo
The digital instruments were an optional extra

I liked the fact thatthe switches were all mounted within a fingers reach of the wheel.

I'm a sucker for an old dash, I love the simplicity of the old MGB dash, in crackle black finish

I also love most of the TVR dashboards, I think Griffith/Chimaera would be my favourite.

My S2 is also a nice place to be:

Spirit Measures ?

Brandy while pootling along, and a Sherry for the Lady ?

Obviously
Was wondering that myself. Some sort of pump priming devices?
Whatever they are, they're very cool smile

Basically pick anything from a good brand in the '30s and it'll have an amazing dash. Bentley, Alfa, Delahaye, Delage, Bugatti, Auburn, Cord, Voisin, Dusenberg, etc. etc.

Another classic, the Maserati Mexico:

I just find the dial layout very pleasing as well as the normal classic car simplicity of it all.

Surely the Cerbera has the best dash ever?
I really don't like that myself.
But 15 years ago it would have blown your socks off. That was one of their big wins back in the 90s that the dash and cabin environment of a cheap English sprts car was better than almost any other car on the market at that point in time.

Saw the thread title - though of that dash.

I think it's still stunning. Okay, it lacks the modern tinsel & baubles (aren't they there to appease the simpletons though?), but the architecture is beautiful.
