Anyone going/interested?

Few going from Bikeradar forum, don't know any of them but more the merrier and all that. A few of the boys going are local and no ones mentioned the snow yet so I'm guessing it's ok up there (some what suprised however) Temps for Tues onwards are 9+ so if not good now should be by then.

Anyway, date and time in topic, get involved... I'll be there in a white GT4

Certainly going to be down there again, it was fantastic. The section of single track where there's the Black freeride bit is my favorite bit of track anywhere I've ridden so far!
I'll save this thread and be in touch next time we're that way, going to be a couple/three months mind.

It took me a few attempts to master the tunnel on the black run but do enjoy it, got to pick your lines on those berms though huh, good when you link them all up though.

Just know I'm going to be blowing like eff the next few times around though, not bike fit at all at the mo

How was it? quite deep wasnt it in places! I work there at the CWMDOWN uplift service and we havent run due to snow since 27th Nov! and still no sign of it abating! Cafe at cwmcarn is closed til the 4th january as is the main car park and main access road so you'll have to drive through the village or park on main road.

Was there a couple of weeks ago for the Twch Trail. The bottom section was a lava flow of ice. Can't see that thawing out soon. The bottom section of the DH course was fine though. Looking forward to a few uplift days in 2011.

Well lads, went up this Tuesday. I lasted - 20 minutes.. I drove through the village and parked up in the visitors centre car park, which was still think with slushy ice. A few lads on bikeradar said it was rideable so off I toddled. I opted to go through the car park to the start of the twrch as the road leading up was sheet ice also and (on my half bald Ignitors) unrideable. It was an absolute nightmare riding the the first part of the twrch up to the gate(if you know where I am). At that point, after spinning more times than Pete Burns I decided to bin it and go back home, cold, wet and despondent.

Went back in to the car park (about half 10) and there were a few more lads setting up, I rode past and just shook my head, one fella noted "another rider shaking his heads boys!" so I must not have been the only one struggling.

I'm fitting my 2.5 Highroller maxxpros in the morning and heading back up. Hopefully to better conditions.

Anyone else fancy it lads?

Been there today, conditions are fine now if a little wet and very muddy. There are a couple of patches of ice but nothing to really worry about.

I managed two laps and I must say I am feeling it now!
