Riding Glasses
Discussion
Need a new pair..
Before crimbo I was at Gunwarf quays at the Oakley factory outlet but showed restraint and decided to wait for the sales.
Went back yesterday and they have put the prices UP!
Because I want an odd lens, it is now cheaper for me to go to oakley instead of buy a "cheap" pair from gunwharf and re-lens them.
So... while I am shopping around - what do you guys wear / rate? (Mud plugging / mountain biking)

There can be only one answer Oakley Jawbones... you can quickly and pretty cheaply interchange your lenses. They are the most comfortable glasses i've ever worn so much so i use them for everything... These guys are cheap, v helpful, reliable and superfast delivery i have found, with two different lenses, replacement nose grips, soft and hard cases for £126 can't complain.....

^^^^^ what he said
Ive used dozens of glasses before I discovered Jawbones
For on and off road they feel like they have been designed by someone who actually rides bikes
Changeable lenses superb
I use clear most of the time and persimmon now and again when its overcast
I even have a dense tint for the sun !!!!!!
If I was buying again Id probably go for a transition tint as I ride mostly on road now with a clear lens for dawn/dusk MTB
AFAIK the transitions are a bit sluggish for sudden moves into wooded/shaded areas etc
Cheers
My old riding glasses were a wire frame set of oakleys that had a yellow lens (perscription) put in for night driving. They were the perfect riding glasses. I do a lot of dusk and night riding and even in the height of summer they took enough glare out of the view to be comfy especially when diving into a wood, they dealt with the change of light superbly well.
I have been looking around since the loss of my other glasses and the only way to do the job I want is Jawbone. I have been doing my best not to buy jawbones because so many friends have them but I have just clenched my cheeks and pressed "order". (just feeling apres crimbo tights!).
Dark blue frame, blue jaw, black socks, Iridium blue lenses and some yellow "secondaries" which will end up primary!
Shame X metal frames dont have interchangeable lenses, I would have got them in a heartbeat....
