I am agog at how you identified the Australian Falcon even though I mistakenly described it as an American car. Anyway here's a glimpse, in the bottom right-hand corner, of the offside front wing. I think that this establishes it as a Falcon.

Only guessed because I owned one many years ago. However, that front corner suggests it is an XY Falcon rather than an XW.

Spotted these two while out and about today. Suspect both are restorable. Hope someone gives either or both a good home....

I couldn't tell, but given how valuable even a rotten 956 is worth it's unlikely that you'd find one in a scrapyard so the balance of probability said it was a kit. Identifying it as a 956/kit was possible because the windscreen shape is quite distinctive, as is the upturned bathtub shape of the bodywork.
think you mean a 356 wink
Have to agree Mikey, the 956 was a Group C Sports-Prototype from the early 80s
Typotastic.

Surprisingly could actually be true, as long as the engine is not rusted up internally and still turns over, these old engines are so simple & robust you just have to add fuel, check plugs points etc. and they will fire up

Possibly the wind or some mischievous person has transferred the sign across from the Hillman Minx.

Looks like an abandoned project but pretty complete, surely worth rescuing.
