Unfortunately like many of the vehicles nowadays X5's for example with Can-bus/too many toys etc etc wont reach classic/oldies status way too costly to repair when they fall from bad /poor owners etc throw away society ............
Audi Allroads being a good example also, they're being scrapped in droves.Yertis said:

They've become quite a rare sight, very quickly.
That maybe geographical, I could hit two with a brick from where I'm sitting (not mine...& that 's not an offer ) - regarding the "too complicated, they'll all get scapped", that arguement has been rolled out since the invention of the horse shoe! There'll always be someone who can find a way of fixing them, CANBUS or not, it'll be whether anyone wants to...MarkwG said:

"Audi's A6 Allroad is the most unreliable 4x4 on the road"
Certainly the most unreliable 4x4 on my driveway. It's cost me a fortune to keep on the road. Been a good workhorse though, when it's working properly. And i guess resale values will be good despite the aggro.

Bloody good job too as far as I'm concerned
Cant say I am a lover of big 4x4's personally they dont do what I want a car too and all this sitting high up "King Of The Road" attitude that goes with them thats not blasting all the owners I know of a few that are not owning for that reason i.e kids and kids kit usually MarshPhantom said:
