I saw the Who Dares Burns Second Assault in Asda yesterday, picked up a bottle and, seeing that the contents had settled, gave it a gentle shake.

The bloody thing exploded.

I stood there for a couple of seconds in frank, slack-jawed disbelief, covered in broken glass and weapons-grade capsaicin concentrate.

The staff were incredibly helpful, but I don't think they quite grasped what they were dealing with - they helped me get the worst of it off my shirt, but the chap who helpfully took my shopping basked which was equally coated in the stuff then managed to get some of it in his eye. Whilst they then started to deal with this secondary emergency, and before they called in a hazmat team to clean the aisle, I decided to bid them farewell and go home to get changed. I swear I was getting an endorphin high just from the fumes in the car on the way home.

Needless to say, once changed, I went back to a different branch of Asda to pick up a couple of bottles. £3.98 is a bargain. Just never, ever, get any of it either in your eyes or on your clothes.
Cool story, did you put your finger to your lips to taste

As I type I have this on the BBQ after marinading in chicken all day.

The finger test says it will be good with a lot of scope to add more fire.

I tried some Fruit Burst from Wiltshire Chilli Farm. Dear God, that's all I can say.

Serious question, has anyone got a recommendation for a good Hot Sauce that's not full of sodium. I love Franks but it's a killer for Sodium. Tabasco is pretty good in comparison, but I'd like something more akin to the consistency of Franks.

Not for a while as chilli sauce has started causing me havoc a few hours after eating! So I only eat it at a weekend when I know the throne is nearby and I don't need to go anywhere hehe

The Nandos hot sauces are my current favourites. The medium one in particular as it has great flavour and is handy for frying off chicken / Turkey / pork for a quick meal.

Thinking of treating myself for Xmas. Is there anything 'special' out there?

Not got anything to show recently. Trying to consume what I already have.
Anything new?

Toasted bread, butter, mayo, left over turkey, dash of hot sauce. Or a dollop of hot sauce. Can't wait!

It really is that small! Litterally a cotton bud ends worth of it will liven up a whole chilli meal!

http://www.thechilligeeks.com/god-slayer-hot-sauce...

`it's amazing though, still has loads of flavour, and the garlic comes through first, then the heat builds and leaves you on a chili high! Recommend it highly as the ultimate hot sauce to pep anything up.

I got the Dave's for Christmas. I'm yet to try that, though what I'm reading on here is building it up!
