I've just brought a Volvo XC90 and noticed it has poor torque steer mid corner, but only on left hand curves. Tried my mates (with douoble the mileage) and his doesn't have this issue.

I suspect it's suspension geometry or worn parts but can't be sure.

Any ideas?

ps, noticed some uneven tyre wear on the outer fronts as well.

Torque steer is usually only in one direction is it not? Certainly was only to the left in my old Clio. Or are you saying it does not do it in a straightline only when cornering?

FWIW torque steer and tramlining increase noticably on mu Clio once the tyres got half worn.

More likey than not it's misaligned geometry or worn suspension and when loaded up as per the cornering you described it has a tendency to pull in a way that feels like torque steer.

Captain C you may be right, I've noticed even 'off' throttle it occurs so suspension is my primary suspect now!
Will get it checked out.
