Murciélago grabs 3rd

Lamborghini make history in Spanish FIA GT race

The Lamborghini Murciélago R-GT entered the history books last weekend with the first ever podium finish for a Lamborghini in an international motor racing event. The Lamborghini Murciélago R-GT finished 3rd at the FIA GT championship in Valencia, Spain.

The Murciélago R-GT has been developed over an intensive nine-month period, which has taken the car from the drawing board to a podium finish.

It was developed jointly with race engineering company Reiter Engineering in Germany and made extensive use of the expertise of parent company Audi’s sports division Audi Sport.

Seen it on Europsport.

That Lambo is just one mean looking beast.
If it would be about look's, it would have won.

Just eye-candy!

geez, and I usually don't even like Lambos.

When is the FIA GT in England this year? Is it at Donnington again?

Looking forward to it, one of the best races of the year.

not quite - there have been a few privateers enter in the past in the pre Prosche and Merc GT1 days (early 90's)...but like the XJ220s they didnt do all that well! Aside from that single series only.

dunno why no-one ever fiddled around with a diablo GTR-R, but then Im not sure how many of those were ever made or where they ended up.

A Diablo won the Australian Sports car series, and continues to be very competitive to this day, in a field of Porsches, Ferraris and Holdens. Lamborghini also has several world series championships in Off Shore Boating.
