Had a warning pop up for the above asking me if I wanted to run the above potentially dangerous file whilst surfing in the 'space storm, we're doomed' (or something like it) thread.

Just thought the PH geeks should know.

Edit to say...this thread.

It doesn't seem to be doing it here, is it still doing it for you?

At work now so on a different computer but I'll check both here now and at home later.

Nope, doesn't seem to do it at work. But we use AVG here and at home I have just switched to Microsoft Security Essentials.

Let me know if it's still doing it when you get home, if it's not and nobody else pipes up saying the same thing then I'll just put it down as "one of those things".

It just popped up again while looking at a different thread.

It actually asked me if I wanted to run or save the files seg.js from ib.adnxs.com

Does that help you?

I got this at the weekend, but didn't have any other detail to tell you.

I've just got it again - looking at the "best of the rest" thread, IE9 asking me if I wanted to run or save "seg.js" from "ib.adxns.com"

Thanks a lot for the info, that's exactly what I needed. I've passed the info on to our ads team, who are looking into it.

I get it relatively often at work using IE. (usually 3 or 4 times a day; though it has happened three times this morning already)

Never at home on Firefox though.

We are still waiting for the company that supplies the adverts to figure out what the problem is. I'll make sure it is chased up today.

Sorry that it's taking so long.

Out of interest, is it happening when a specific advert is showing on the screen?

For me, it certainly only happens when using Internet Explorer. And more often in the morning too.

I'm afraid I haven't taken much notice of the advert on screen at the time. I will do now though if it helps.

Internet explorer for me as well and funnily enough, only in the afternoon/evening.

Pesky little thing ain't it!

Just happened again. These two ads were loaded on the page which sprung the seg.js box.

And again. On the "Learning the basics of SQL" thread in Computers and Stuff.

Register 1 advert at the top of the page, Discovery Channel in the middle.
