Hi All,

Looking for some "inspiration" as I've just set up a fish tank. It's a Roma 240 for anyone that's aware of the Roma tanks.

I like the idea of adding some Lobsters into it smile

I have added water and some plants

Over to you...

Each to their own of course but personally I would remove the Faux Sunken galleon and blue gravel and give it a more natural look.

Sand
Bogwood
Real Plants

It sounds like he's setting up a marine tank, so no bogwood or plants in that.

He doesn't mention it being Marine!

But yes if it's Marine no Bogwood or Plants.

Sand and Living Rock instead.

Still ditch the Galleon and Blue Gravel though.

I see where you're all coming from with regards to the blue, but, it does look OK when you see it for yourself..

It will be tropical fish I will add to it as it will be heated (fresh water)..

My assumption as he did mention Lobsters, not crayfish. smile

This is our 48l tank. Plants are different now though.

We have 3 Guppies, 2 Kuhuli Loaches, 2 Amano Shrimp, 1 Lamp Eye Tetra and 1 Zebra Snail.

The Zebra snail is a recent edition and within 72hrs of being put in the tank he has cleared all the algae off the glass smile

Are you using RO water?
How long has the water been in (could be a bacterial bloom?)?
Have you put in de-chlorinator?

Did you fill the tank today? Maybe some fines need to settle?

My water sometimes looks cloudy, but on closer inspection it turn out to be minute air bubbles from the pump.

What filtration system are you using? under gravel, internal or external filter?

Without any filtration the water will take longer for any sediment or minute air bubbles to clear.
