Myself and some mates are entering as a team. Looks like a hoot!

If you don't mind me asking, what type of lap time were you doing?
Looks like pros are <50mins and others around the 60-90min mark (assuming the course is pretty much the same).
Just trying to gague where we would fit in as a team.
Last year was a tough course (8.8 miles with 1300ft of climbing) an average lap for us (mixed team of 5) was about 1 hour 30/40 minutes. However last year we were blessed with dry weather almost all weekend.Looks like pros are <50mins and others around the 60-90min mark (assuming the course is pretty much the same).

If it rains at Mayhem then your in a world of hurt and broken bikes, do not underestimate this. Take as many spares as you can lay your hands on. And take every piece of cycling clothing you own, dry kit is a blessing at 4am.
The best advice I can give you is make sure your team is all on the same page before it starts. For example your all doing it for fun and the experience or your all taking it seriously and want to get as many laps in as possible. If you have one guy with cross ambitions it causes big problems - usually at 3am when the next person is not ready for the handover!
Its a great event with a very friendly atmosphere so enjoy it
Start praying to the weather Gods now
I also took part a couple of years ago, and suffered from very poor weather resulting in large sections of the track being very deep in mud. most of the competitive times were coming from people running the majority of the course with bike on shoulder. As a result i wont be taking part again until they move from Eastnor castle. I did take part in the Bonty 24/12 last year, and despite it raining from 10pm until 6am the vast majority of the course was in very good condition. I would definitely be going back this year, but its about 2 weeks after my wife is due to give birth.
I really wound emphasise the point that you really should take a big bag of spares, and preferably a spare bike. i'd seriously consider running single speed if the weather gets really grim as i lost loads of time clearing clagged up crud from my rear mech.
All this foul weather considered, i still enjoyed the challenge of both events, but thought the 24/12 was much more fun. and the course held up better. lap times for me were about 1 hour 10 on mayhem, and 50 minutes on 24/12

Lets hear what you think on the Monday morning after. If youre awake and your hands can type!
While the event attracts a lot of people and has a fun atmosphere the course is usually pretty dull and uninspiring. Yes, there's a lot of climbing to make it physicaly demanding, but fireroads and bridleways with a small amount of singletrack for 24 hours isn't very interesting.
As mentioned, if the weather is wet then laptimes can easily double, the clagginess of the Eastnor mud/grass is shocking and can easily break bits of your drivetrain. Long laps carrying your bike during the night are not fun.
24/12 is a lot more interesting to ride, and then there are a number of other 12 hour races scattered around which also offer better riding. Mayhem is worth experiencing at some point, but I doubt I'll ever go back to ride it as it's not an interesting enough course.

What he said. I'll be entering this year again too.24hr racing is absolutely amazing, but it is insanely tough, mentally and physically.
The most satisfying 'sport' I've ever done though - highly, highly reccomend it.
