Did you use the 3.3 SVX motor? Out of interest why did you go for that instead of the newer EZ30R?

SVX engine yes.
Its a 2.2 with two extra cylinders ie. Known, parts available etc..
the actual engine that will be in the car when complete is having forged pistons, custom rods, billet cams and the block pinned etc..

Is this going to be a TA car? If so why the flat 6 - drive out of slow speed corners? Seems an odd choice given the increased weight and cost, when the four pots can make big power. If it's just because then - Well done Sir!

Fair enough then There is an Impreza hillclimb car down here with a twin-turbo EZ30 that goes very well and sounds amazing. http://www.linkecu.com/newsfromlink/h6finalrun2006

I always thought you had an insane streak Simon.
I do look forward to seeing it completed though.

Different and next step really current flat4 with a gt35r without nos is about as laggy as I am willing to go but 665bhp is not enOugh lol So flat6 an alternative route.

So flat6 an alternative route. Sounds a sensible, if very expensive approach. Will you be using a twin sequential turbo set-up then to minimise lag. Out of interest would a supercharger / tubo set-up on the flat four not have given you the same results?

JollyGrnMonster said: Thanks, I think Dont worry, it was a compliment. I like seeing conversions like this. I haven't tried to make anything close to this fit since I was 18 and stuck a Maxi1750GT in the front of a mini shell. My mum still hasnt forgiven me for riveting her large roasting tray on top of the hole in the bonnet to cover the top of the engine.

Did Pat H ever finish his? Think he has built / helped build others but not his own. That engine is his on loan for fabricating as my own is being built
