Who plays the young nucky? Not the really young one but the cop one?
Marc Pickering. He's from Hull....
He's been over looked, but I have to say the fella doing the Dabney Coleman impression is also just as good.

I have it on in the background while i work. I know he got shot but he staggered outside and wandered through the crowd

NO!

This is a series you have to watch and savour!

The Big Bang Theory I could understand having on as background noise - but this!

Shame on you!

What did the guy say to Nucky when he was on the floor? Just after they restrain the kid he turns & points at him and shouts something but we don't hear it.

Been a great series but the end was a bit rushed imo. My fave character of the series....got to be Gyp

Richard Harrow IMO.

First series was the best for action, story and especially totty and gratuitous nudity.

Not enjoying this last (short) season so much. It seems a little out of sync with the previous 4 seasons, way too rushed IMO.

I used to savour each episode like fine wine - now I'm expected to drink a pint of lager in one...

I agree. A tad rushed.

Some of the most interesting characters - Harrow, Van Alden, Rosetti, Gillian, Margaret, Chalky never existed which I suppose is par for the course as more artistic license can be taken. I do think they could have fleshed out Rothstein and especially Luciano more. Rothstein was a fascinating and transformational real life character and Luciano was probably the most important gangster of the 20th Century.

Val Alden, Gillian and Margaret were very, very boring.
If only they had shown more of Rothstein, Al and Luciano. Would have loved the show even more but then again it would have deviated away from the boardwalk and Nucky?

I wrote something a while back along the lines of when its good it's been very good but a bit too slow for long periods for me.

Good but won't go down as a classic for me. Found it a bit odd in the end when they decided to skip quite a large portion of time, plus playing fast and loose with actual people is always a bit of a risky strategy.

Sad...but karmic.

I think it felt rushed because of the flashbacks, and less time with Nuck, it was 27 minutes before we got to him tonight.
The other characters are good, but I watch it for Nucky.
Glad the man in Harlem got it.

A brilliant conclusion. One day I'll watch the whole series again.

Season 5 did feel a bit rushed. I guess we can blame that one the bone-head American audience, whose viewing figures diminished season-upon-season.

Thanks smile

I've enjoyed pretty much every episode, maybe two or three were a bit slow. Not sure I'll bother watching them again though, was good but not great. Shame really as the detail in the sets was excellent especially after watching the youtube link above and you see how much efforts gone into it! Acting was also brilliant, some very talented people there.

I think the last season has ruined it for me a bit, just too rushed and the last episode didn't impress much......maybe should have done one more season and expanded on the last 7 years to tie it all off a little better. (Missed Rothstein in this one)

What has been interesting though (bored in work!) was going back through the real life characters and checking their history out, had no idea how influential Luciano was to modern day gangsters! Kept thinking he was going to get it at the end along with Meyergetmecoat

Anyway! What to watch next!

Really crap ending.

Not the way to treat people who have followed it for hours and hours and hours.

I agree - more so when you realise that the character Nucky was based on lived to a ripe old age!

I read up on him today.

I didn't wish to read before since I didn't wish to spoil anything...well, it was certainly different. Odd considering the other characters arcs were fairly faithful.

Agreed though it does put a full stop to the series.
