As a stand alone car, I'd give it an 8. For looks, tune-ability, and general hot-hatch goodness.

BUT Vauxhall have fked it up. They mass marketed the 1.9cdti engine POS as a "sport-hatch" and now there must be about 100 of them in the stty little town I'm from.

PLUS I've lost count of the amount of times someones told me they have an "astra sport hatch" I've asked if VXR and they've looked blankly, before saying "I don't know... It's diesel and the sporty one".

So, whilst your car is lovely. VAUXHALL have fked it. Properly fked it. So it's 4 from me. Blame every lad in his 20s, who wanted one, couldn't afford it so bought a 1.6 petrol or 1.9cdti with Vaux's fakery sport kit.
Haha good rant. Its one of the reasons i got a black one. Not a sleeper, but to the majority just a ordinary sporty looking boring astra (also less likely to get too much attention from the wrong sort), but then you put your foot down and it fly's down the road leaving them in the distance much to the annoyance of a certain audi turdiaii.

Is it just me or does it look like you have to drive across the path(I presume its a path) to get to those parking spaces
Think its just you.
The spaces to the left of the car, planter behind, path infront?
Hmmm see what you mean...but...it's not a path it's the road...work car park for some reason uses block paving for where the cars drive :s

As I said boss, nothing against yours. Or the Astra VXR. I love 'em, and would genuinely struggle to choose between them and a mountune equipped ST Focus.

BUT around North Lincs there's too many supressed mid-20s henleys wearing tts with 1.9cdtis who refer to them as "sporty" and proceed to drive everywhere in 2nd gear revving the cock off it.

Eibach springs on within a week of buying them. And usually within 6months VXR wheels too.

I agree on your sleeper choice. Has yours been played with?

No its 100% standard. Don't think i will be playing about to much with it,LSD maybe a pre-cat down pipe, cdti airbox map and vectra vxr brakes. But I'm in no rush to do any of them tbh

325i. Schrick cam, wilwoods, Gaz golds, cage, poly windows, fiberglass boot & bonnet. Wheels are just slave rims for driving to circuit before swap to Racelines with r888's.

Very nice bmw

Not a very pistonheads car with a whole 60bhp.I bought it back in 2006 for £2250 with just under 10,000 miles on it (it was/is my first car). Its has always been well looked after and loved its whole life (fsh - never gone more than 3000 miles with out a service, regularly cleaned and waxed, all oem parts, its now on 28,000 miles on a w plate) I've just owned it for a long time. I've driven more exciting stuff over the years, but I can't really see myself ever selling it, I think I might retire it as my main car when it hits 15 years old though (garage it and keep it for sentimental reasons).

That's epic.

Glad I'm not the only one who lavishes attention on cars others would run to ruin!

Lovely condition. Never sell it, I regret having to sell every car that I have ever owned and still have dreams where I find my first car in storage at the back of the garage......
