I heard from the Modified Madness event organisers last night that this year's Thorney Island event will be taking place on 16th & 17th July. For previous events there's been enough interest from the South Coast brethren and sisterhood to organise a clubstand and camping so how about it again this year?

As in previous years main activities will be the 1/4 mile timed runs and a large drifting area. Sure there'll be the usual additions of trade stands, catering trailers and women with not enough on*. Not sure if their website is fully up to date for 2011 but should give you an idea: ModifiedMadness.co.uk

Couple of random bits of info to save trawling the whole thread (in anticipation of it growing):
> Dates are 16th & 17th July 2011
> Event is a registered fundraiser for Help for Heroes
> Postcode is PO10 8DH
> All further info on ModifiedMadness.co.uk

I won't use this thread to pimp out the fact I do the event photography (oops...) so it just remains to start the obligatory PH list of attendees:

Just to watch I presume as you haven't a snowballs chance of getting up to warp speed in your old 7 redface)

At least I can keep my 'old 7' on the road! Plenty of run off at Thorny I'd have thought.

Most likely do the Sunday. Desperately want to get into the 12's. Managed 13.15 last year and had some really good off the line races.
