Anyone see the track cycling at the weekend, in particular the Keirin?

Ouch!

Sometimes I do wonder if splintery wood is the best material for a velodrome, having said that I've crashed sprinting on a concrete track and can only liken it to cycling as fast as you can into a giant sanding disc!

Missed the Keirin but I did see the men's sprint heats, women's team pursuit and men's Omnium which I think is an excellent event.

I hope to see GB v Australia in the Olympic team pursuit final - it would be like the Ashes packed into 4mins!

Hoy's power as he accelerates away is amazing. He's king of the track at the moment.
