TBH I have seen the cheap ones trade for £150. The timber is OK, but if it really is leather ( I doubt it ) it looks like plastic.
If you scout around, a genuine old one fetches £1500-ish in auction. You won't loose on that.

I visited these guys last week to order one for a client. They have their repro version next to a Vitra one (which is the "licensed" expensive version) and the quality was top drawer. I would not buy one under £1k without seeing it first. The quality of their version was very good. I paid £815 incl VAT and UK delivery.
