Starts next wednesday, 7.30pm on BBC1.

Guy Martin, Isle of Man TT rider, will be presenting a show about British engineering and trying to include as much of it in a Narrow Boat as possible.

Anyone who has seen coverage of the TT races over recent years will know that Guy is a proper petrol head. I think it will be a good show.

Shall we have a sweepstake on how many cups of tea he has per show? hehe

Guy is totally bonkers but extremely entertaining. He had a massive and spectacular off last year as well.

He is to road racing what Robby Savage is to football.

yes... looking forward to this, was this when he fell over a mooring rope and smashed all his front teeth in after surviving that big off at Ballascarey .

Seems a top bloke.

Can't wait for this, some of Guys interviews at the TT races are brilliantly eccentric! Talking at a million miles per hour while supping a cup of tea.

Saw an ad for this last night and was intending to come on here and post about it - pleased to see I was beaten to it.
This sounds like a recipe for some very entertaining tele.

There is a short clip of the first show on the bbc's website(i think), looks like it is going to be really really good

I get the feeling (or maybe it's just me hoping this) that the BBC are looking for a replacement Fred Dibnah.

Someone who understands how things work, is good in front of the camera, is not afraid to get his hands dirty and is a bit "different".

He is a weirdo though, he has a Lister stationary engine. hehe

That's my bid. I think they'll edit out at least 10 mugs though biggrin

I've been waiting for this for ages. I hope it lives upto my expectations.

I think it will tbh, as there is nothing else like this on terrestrial tv. Shame there is only 6 episodes though
