Sky confirms record 'Game of Thrones' viewing figures
Pay-TV operator Sky confirmed a record 23 million Sky Box Sets downloads across the 40 episodes of seasons 1-4 of hit TV show 'Game of Thrones' by UK customers between 01 March and 31 May. This was ahead of the season 5 finale on Sky Atlantic on 15 June which registered a record audience of 3.1 million in the UK, making it the most-watched Sky entertainment programme ever in Sky homes. This audience figure includes live audiences for the 2am simulcast and 9pm broadcast, as well as Sky+ recordings and on-demand catch-up viewing. The figure will be higher when figures for the streaming services Sky Go and NOW TV are taken into account.
