The Zero Theorem - Managed to reach 45 mins still none the wiser and was tempted to eject and move on with my life. Watched it to the end and wished I had bailed out. ste
I really enjoyed that, not his best work but thought it was great, looked fantastic. Now if you want a duffer, try Debug - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2769184
It might have been better if they'd had more than the £15 it cost to make it. They seem to have just borrowed bits of plot from Event Horizon, 2001 etc with the crew of a spaceship stuck with an evil computer AI. It's all a bit too ham.
4/10

Gallowwalkers - Wesley Snipes. Poor, poor, poor. Some reasonable moments but a wasted opportunity 20%

I assume this is one of those God awful films Wesley Snipes has to make to cover his multi million dollar tax bill. If your children play up over the next 2 weeks threaten to show then Saving Christmas.

Ator the Invincible (1984) - "Muscle-bound Ator and his mute Asian sidekick travel from the ends of the Earth to save his aged mentor from the evil mustachioed Zor."
Turks in Space (2006) - "A family of Turks try to adapt to life in a new solar system."
The Counsellor, there used to be a time when a film with Ridley Scott's name on it, meant you could expect something pretty decent, he really has lost the plot with this and Prometheus. 2+ hour long film and yet the was no real development of plot or character, even Cameron Diaz doing the splits and humping a Ferrari California didn't make up for the rest of it.
Sucker Punch - Looks promising right? Girls in skimpy outfits, fighting, giant samurai, nazi zombie soldiers, helicopters, dragons, orcs. What could go wrong?
Lots apparently. it lacks any sense of peril, the fights get tedious, the characters are one dimensional, it's the old dream within a dream/bullet time/you control your destiny bks we've seen a million times before. It looks like a bad video game cut scene.
13 year old boys might be impressed, everyone else avoid.
2/10

Without a shadow of a doubt the worst film I've ever seen. Someone gave me it on DVD a few years ago.. why they put that kind of evil on me I will never know. I watched about the first 25 minutes of it, then took the DVD out of the player and destroyed it. Snapped it into about 6 pieces and binned it.
This item of Trivia from IMDB sums it up.. "The camera crew forgot to bring a box of lenses on the ship, so the director of photography was forced to shoot with the wrong lenses."
Olympus Has Fallen.
It has taken the title of worst film I saw in 2014. Which is no mean feat seeing as we only have a few days left of the year. It raises so many questions...
Why would well paid actors agree to do this film?
And why did the performance of all these actors come across so badly? I've seen them in other films.
Why was everyone in it 100 points lower on IQ than Gerard Butler?
Why were the enemy extremely clever but then when faced with the prospect of Gerard Butler, become incredibly stupid?
Why, even with a seemingly massive budget, did it manage to look like a B-movie?
Just why?

On the contrary, I think it's very good once you understand it - good review here and here
You've been sucker punched
As a satire it fails even harder than if it was a straightforward exploitation movie. You can't just make the exact same movie and then go haha look I'm actually exploiting you the audience. I don't buy the female fantasy empowerment bit either as they are only empowered in a fantasy inside a fantasy probably inside a fantasy. It feels more like a statement about mental illness than empowerment. You've been sucker punched
He does raise some interesting points in that video. I noticed that sweet pea was notably more prim than the other girls, that it started on stage etc but I think the argument that the CGI sequences were bad on purpose and only sucked in geeks as her dancing was overt and sucked in perverts is tenuous.
