Springtime - stone chip repairs!
Discussion
George - if you are talking about the Chipex kit then I guess it wouldn't hurt it to try.
After making sure the scratch was clean of any wax/residue etc I would suggest getting a layer on and leaving it to dry for a good 30 mins before doing the next stage. This will help the paint stay in the scratch. You would probably need to repeat this process a few times to get the depth of paint into the scratch.
For £50 (£37.50 if you got one when the deal was on)and your time it can't hurt given that if/when you get it done professionally it will cost £££ anyway. The cost of the kit is neither here nor there really compared to a professional job.
Good luck

Thanks I will give it a try at some point in the near future, as you said, for the sake of £40-£50 not worth taking it to get done professionally if it does work. After making sure the scratch was clean of any wax/residue etc I would suggest getting a layer on and leaving it to dry for a good 30 mins before doing the next stage. This will help the paint stay in the scratch.
