I'm genuinely surprised. I didn't really think about it. If I'd been the first to post, I'd never have even got the 811 bit, so wouldn't have got as far as the last 4 digits biggrin

But it's surprising how many people do get this number right. Considering we were all kids and the show finished nearly 30 years ago, I find it staggering how we can remember (well, nearly) things from this far back and can't remember a fking thing from last week!

True. But then I can remember No 73's address (including postcode) as well biggrin Plus the track listing of Five Star's debut album hehe

I suspect it's something to do with growing brains and memory capabilities at that age, before one has a chance to zap neurons with alcohol.

I think that photo is from the anniversary show that they did a couple of years ago or so. I really wish the BBC would release the old archives of it, if only to bring back memories of such good times. One of the TV torrent sites had a copy if the final show but it got pulled because of the cartoon content. I never got the hang of Tiswas.

Keith Chegwin was interviewed fairly recently by Richard Bacon or Chris Evans on't wireless

He recalled the case of a lad who swapped a ghetto blaster on TV only for the rozzers to come by later and advise it'd been stolen from the local Currys/Comet that morning. hehe
They also did the visiting swapping thing at the same grounds as the BBC would be broadcasting the rugby from that afternoon, to which people twigged, so it was never a 'secret' where they would be.
