I'm a contractor with a gap of a month coming up in May and have 700,000 Hilton points (enough for between 14 days in a 5* or 93 nights in a lower grade hilton) so hotels can be free.

The only slight issue, is that I have two young children (a 2.5 year old and a 12 week old). The wife will be going back to work in June and so May is ours to do with as we please. What would you all do - taking into account that the kids are adaptable and sleep nights (phew) but we don't want to be hiking across deserts or in survival situations?

My initial thoughts are:

West Coast of Canada (but long flight)
New York & East Coast (possibly expensive once we get there but flights look good value - also, US immigration may be a bit frustrating?)
Florida, Florida Keys (as above)
California
Thailand
Australia (but long flight)

Japan probably isn't a good idea at the moment (although some tourist income may be just the way to help).

After the year I've had, this has really perked me up (although all of us would get bored on a beach within a few days).
