Our HK500 is starting to take shape a bit now, we have made a boot floor and ribs, both floorpans, again with all the ribs, rear footwells, inner and outer sills, rear panel and boot lip,and we are just into making a door skin. Busy busy! anyone that wishes to drop by to Farnham for a look and a coffee is very welcome.

Peter
I hope you remembered to add a smidgen of double curvature to the cills to match the doors. They look decidedly odd without it.

Hi All,
I have just bought a very special Facel II that I have been chasing for over 20 years. It is Ringo Starr's car. Chassis HK2 B160, a Right Hand Drive Facel Vega Facel II, was bought new by Ringo and kept for 4 years. It is a special car also because it was the 1964 Earls Court Motor Show Car, the very last RHD car built and one of only two cars with the larger 6.7 Litre engine and Manual Gearbox. Anyway, bought with the proceeds of selling my old Facel II, which features in a very nice article you can ready in this months Classic & Sportscar magazine. This car needs a restoration although I will be smoking it around this summer as it is. I am a huge Beatles fan and my perfect car with the perfect provenance was too much for me to pass by.

I cannot remember being this excited about owning a car and this one will be kept forever!

These are such stunning cars. Will you be taking it to any events/shows this summer? It would be good to see it in the flesh.

Well done Justin, one of the most famous Facel Vega. I was curious about this car when I learnt that his owner pass away last year. Is it the only picture with Ringo and his Facel II ?

Me too. One of the best threads, unspoilt by the usual Pheads lot. Just lots of lovely stuff about some beautiful cars. Keep it up!

Goodwood 2009!!!! Amazing. Sitting on the camping site with a nice beer, when the Spitfires are playing in the air!!
With these overalls there was no problem to get into the pits smile

I think some of you know the owner of this car.

Well done Justin, i'm sure Eric would be pleased to know that someone appreciates his car, and will look after it..... I would personally not restore it, just do what needs doing to kepe it going..... sometimes the beauty of these cars is lost in over restoration.....
Congrats!!
