Trust me there are more than enough kilos on me to worry about losing first before I worry about the amount water I am carrying.

After my niece received her Boardman Road Sport Fi my nephew's desire for a road bike has, funnily enough, increased somewhat... So

Still need to order him some shoes, DHB R1.0 again I think, once he decides what colour he wants.

Will pick it up tomorrow or Saturday.

Good work. Can uncles be adopted?

Until then, I can't afford a new slacker mtb so have purchased an offset bushing for ten pounds.

The jockey wheels on my MTB were going very "shark-tooth" (Swinley sandy soil eats plastic wheels like they are made of butter). Proper SRAM jobbies were ~£16, but considering i had some amazon vouchers ive ended up getting a whole new X7 rear derailer and only needed to cough up £23. Only reason i did was because this new one is the Type2 with the clutch, which gets rid of chain slap over bumpy ground (or at least it does on my mates new bike which had one as standared)
Downside, have the ballache of indexing to look forward to this weekend.

Few new shiny bits.

New saddle. Specialized Romin Evo

New bars, 3T Ergonova Pros. Which also meant I could fit the SRAM Force shifters and mechs I've been hording for the last year.

Oh and some new tyres as my GP4000s had finally given up the ghost.

ISM Adamo Time Trial saddle for the new TT bike. The standard fit one left me in agony and genuine fear of damage to, ahem...tissue.

This is the latest addition to my bike - a 2014 Rock Shox Monarch+ RT3 Debonair rear shock. For anyone who is into Specialized bikes you'll know that the rear shock choice is severely hampered by the way the "clevis link" attaches to the rear of the shock... and I was lucky enough to be one of the very very first people to bag one of these before a trip to the alps last week. Total game changer it is too - it is a massive upgrade from my previous shock (a PUSH tuned Fox RP23 kashima)

Made me happy anyway!

With apologies to the four PHers who will be missing out, the order is now closed. Size/jersey changes are no longer possible. Delivery addresses can be changed until the jerseys are received at Gruffy's Warehouse.

Damn indeed. But I'm sure we all appreciate that the 'list' couldn't be kept open indefinitely. The "four PHers" referred to are chaps who put their names down, but failed to contact Gruffy when prompted for payment and delivery addresses etc. Now (it's not a dig at you, by the way) the Jerseys thread has been running for an age, and is always close to the top of the front page, and the 'list' (Wiki) was up for quite a while. Gruffy clearly stated that the closing date for orders would be strict, yet he added me (by PM) to the list after it was due to finish, and allowed people to join on right up to the payment deadline. He, and John, I believe, have undertaken a lot of work on this one, and have been the very definition of "harsh, but fair" in setting a closing date for payments/orders. It's a shame that you have missed another run of Jerseys, I know how you feel, having missed out on the first two runs myself, simply by not reading the PP forum regularly enough. Hopefully, the more of these jerseys that are seen, and mentioned in 'spotted' threads, the higher the likelihood that there'll be another run (when demand ramps up again) or we might even see them in the 'shop' as demand, and commitment to buy, has been proven now beyond a doubt.

Big thanks to Gruffy for all the work done on this batch so far. I'm now looking forward to wearing the new 'red' jersey with as much pride as I do the 'yellow' one.

We'll I for one am pleased I managed to get my order in this time,,as I missed the last one.

And on that point, as there are over 100 of us with the new jerseys now ordered, can't we have a logo on our users names like the pistonfest one, you know PH jersey bloke, or something like that?

Mind you with 100+ people, that would make the 10 people going to pistonfest feel a bit left out!

Sorry I could not resist ! smile
