Now riding in the 1420 at Chepstow...
Looks like something Tom Cruise would have in his downstairs bog.
Also ordered a pair of these:

Popped into Evans Cycles while in Guildford for a wedding and they had Rapha sale on. They had Rapha's 25% off plus and additional 25%. unfortunately they need not have alot of Larges. So I got these instead.

New cap arrived for the headset today... links the passion for cars and bikes nicely I reckon... biggrin From those splendid chaps at Kapz (www.kapz.co.uk)

Sorry, no gratuitous kitchen shot...

Looking forward to spending more time on this now the IM race is out of the way. TT bike up on the turbo for the winter months.

beer
Orange cap with black letting would've worked better imo, or black with white.

Nice doors too!

Update on the Bike van after its initial trial run to the Forest of Dean:

It works!

Got those 3 in, another one strapped to the back of the rear seat and the munchkins 20" bike in as well, plus all the camping gear and cases. Rode variations on the family trail at Cannop every day for the week with the whole troup, so definitely the best "bike" accessory I have ever bought. William now wants to be Josh Bryceland!

[quote=bigmul]Kinesis CX disc wheels for my Boardman CX team
Avid BB7 for the rear
[quote]

Already got those on mine, very good choice biggrin

Make sure you've got the BB7r - the R is important, otherwise the pull ratio is different and they plain wont work.

Still a nightmare to adjust, just less of a nightmare than BB5s.

The wheels however are a bargain and cant fault them in any way biggrin

Yet another stem for the Omnium, Zipp Service Course SL Beyond Black 17 degrees
Might have to return the Ritchey seatpost and find a Zipp to have the matching set

My daughter is good at spot the difference.

Apart from the obvious wheel change she noticed a lowered stem, a raised and changed saddle and removed cages. Did she miss anything? biggrin

Looks amazing on those Zipps.
She is good!!! She got everything apart from the rear light and the name sticker - but top effort!!!

I was going to stick the 404s on yesterday but it blowing a howling gale up here so stuck with the Mavics instead hehe

Good thinking! I stuck with black and white so it would mirror the writing on the bars but orange and black would look good - I'll give that a try next time!

A heads up for anyone running these lights and mounting the battery on the stem...

I have 2, and both have failed at the stitching on the strap that holds the thing to the bike. First time, but second very nearly cost me a wheel. Thankfully, it just snapped the wire but it was squeaky bum time.

Mine is now cable tied to the stem instead...

Was less than a minute from finishing the Blue trail in Swinley tonight and there was the sound of a gunshot going off. Stopped and checked myself for bleeding holes but no - it was the rear tyre. Wheeled to the trail end, changed the tube in the dark and drizzle and rode gingerly home. It was only there I noticed it wasn't just the tube - the entire tyre had popped!

So tonight ive just ordered a new tyre:

It was £15 on Amazon. Toyed with getting the ~£50 version which has the same Black Chilli compound as my road bike tyres but it just feels wrong buying a mountain bike tyre that costs more than a tyre for my car....

Thats the biggest fear I had, so I put the 2 battery packs in a water bottle. On the mtb I use a camel back anyway so a non issue. Bonus is it's mud and waterproof.
