And because I've had my eye on this for ages, it's just come down 40% and I had a 20% survey discount to use too:

Let me know how you get on with the jersey - I like the design of the club jersry, but I am not sure about the merino material. I've got a Howies merino jersey and it feels a bit too stretchy and relaxed (it flaps in the wind - even though it's race fit).http://www.rapha.cc/gb/en/shop/team-sky-long-sleev...

Great Jersey this, got one for getting to the ride like a pro final, really nice fit, tight enough, but with enough room to wear with something underneath, lovely and comfy, could be worn as a normal top if you really want. Not had a chance to ride it out on the bike yet, but may give it a go tomorrow depending upon the weather.http://www.rapha.cc/gb/en/shop/team-sky-long-sleev...
This turned up today.
I'm impressed, for £2.25 I'm very impressed.

Muc Off Ceramic C3 WET
I rate the dry stuff. So trying the wet given the weathers gone cack. 2 hours in the heavy rain Sunday and no squeak squeak squeak like when I got caught out in a downpour a while back and washed all the dry stuff off.
Which leads neatly to Gore Active Jacket
2 hours in the torrential from Sunday. Utterly, utterly brilliant. Breathable. My base layer was bone dry when I got home. Hugely recommended!
Unlike Sealskinz Sea Leopard Gloves
"totally waterproof, breathable and windproof glove" is simply not the case here. Granted it was bad weather. And they were ok for the first 20-30mins. Then they started to get wet and absorb water and then making a fist was wringing out loads of water. Then my hands started to get cold. Took a day to dry out fully they were so wet. At first I thought it was water running down my arm and getting in that way. But I'm not convinced because of the absorption issue.
Would have gone for the Gore gloves but they are way too bulky to use. Any alternatives I'm all ears.
All this came from Evans Gatwick site. It's basically the warehouse with a shop. So you look online see what they have. Go down use their computers instore, and like Argos write down the number and they go and get it for you from the warehouse. You aren't committed to buying (the above Gore gloves went back upon trying them on)
If it's not too far from you I recommend a trip.

Fir the chap above looking for wet weather gloves:
I have some Castelli Neoprane gloves. (Wetsuit material.). They don't keep your hands dry, but the do keep them warm. Buying some thin diving gloves may be a cheaper alternative, although I only spent about a tenner on them, I suspect they should have been more.
Sometimes you're best working with the weather than fighting it.

I like it for a casual thin jumper. I don't think I would wear it on the bike. It is quite thin, but very nice. I also have the grey Planet X merino, which is thicker, and snug and toasty. There's a place for both, the Sky more as a jumper over a t shirt smart casual, the Planet X for warm under a wind proof for yomps through the woods.louiebaby said:

I did actually see those Castelli ones in the shop. Decided against them as I thought my hands would get clammy in them. How wet do your hands get though? maybe I'm looking for the impossible with dry hands in crap weather.
