Elite's answer to the Camelbak Podium? Where from? Wiggle is showing a good price (£6.95), but currently out of stock until mid June frown
It has a bigger fluid volume than the Podium, and looks like a decent colour match for my bike. I'd be interested to know how the self sealing silicon valve works in practice, as competition for the 3 Podium bottles in my house often leaves me to ride with leaky old bottles without a proper delivery valve seal, and squash running down the downtube to wash the grease out of my bottom bracket rolleyes

Ooh! A Grade!

I wanted one of those, but wasn't prepared to wait for one in my size, so bought a Trek Emonda instead. I was after the Ultegra version with Shimano hydraulic brakes. If/when I get a job sorted, it'll be first on my list of things that I 'need' to buy with my first wages.

I think I bought the last 2 in stock, to be honest the ones I bought are all smoke black hopefully. As you say every decent bottle in the house now goes to school or nursery! Will let you know how they are but for £6 a bottle they were almost a give away.

Popped into the Rapha outlet at Shepton Mallet......Pro Team jacket, short sleeve jerseys x 2, shorts, plus the wife picked up a Pro Team jacket, couple of merinos and two jerseys. All half RRP or close to it.
The wife asked me what I wanted to do for my impending birthday. She was puzzled by me saying I wanted a trip to Shepton Mallet. smile
It's worth it if you live within about an hour, good sized store with plenty of stock, few other shops there but not a lot to them.

It's for Mrs Johnny... If I'm honest I'm pretty jealous! I'd love one, especially a Carbon Ultegra. I had a little play outside the shop before it went in the car and it felt so good to ride.

Saying that despite its being a small frame I reckon I could still get away with riding it with a few adjustments...

I'm about an hour away by car, or when the kids are a bit older, a 3 hour ride and a lift home in the car...

There's a cuppa and a bacon sarnie if you're in the direction of Honiton, although probably not worth going out of your way for them!

Thanks very much for the offer! I do like a bacon sarnie smile. Is that west? I'm going to the Wilton car show, so driving 45mins west of it to go to the outlet on the Saturday morning, then back east to the show for the weekend.

I live near Salisbury, what is the qualifying criteria for the Bacon Sarnie? Happy to drive down one weekend for free food.

I went back in April, my findings:

Hard shells £130
Pro team bibs £100
Grand tour shoes £150
Pro team jersey £100
Imperial Works SS jersey £40
Etc

Yes they were a little light on the normal sizes, ie medium and large but they did have one or two of most things versus four or five xs, s, xl, xxl.

This has started me thinking... If I put 105 5800 compact on my (square taper) Synapse, I could put its Sora 3500 triple on one of these. I'd need some finishing kit - but I've already a spare saddle, handlebars, pedals lying around - and a wheelset. Presumably it's a disk only frame and my winter R501s wouldn't fit? Otherwise I could upgrade my road bike and get a winter/gravé bike for not much more. Hmmm...
