Sigma 10-20mm Wide angle lens. I had read mixed reviews, but I am really happy with the results.

Nice lens and pictures, but how do you fit that on your bike then? ., winkwink

For uploading photos to strava?!?

Would some Fulfrum Racing 5's feel like an upgrade on the Bontrager wheels which came fitter to my Trek Madone?

Do some research on the Bontrager wheels before you consider upgrading.

I budgeted for spending around £500 to 'upgrade' the Bontrager Race TLR (tubeless ready) wheelset when I bought my new Emonda. But when I looked into it, the weight of the Bontrager wheels was pretty competitive, and in the end I'd have needed to up my budget to get any noticeable 'improvement' in weight. That, along with the fact that I've no complaints about the Bontrager wheels meant that I've since decided to keep to the OE wheelset.

For info, Cycling Weekly did a "Lighweight Wheels" grouptest in the May 14th issue. The 'with skewers' weight of Fulcrum Racing Zeros was given as 1615grams for £799. The Bontrager wheels fitted to my bike (and possibly yours, too) weigh 1720grams. There's no way I'm ready to spend £800 to shave 105grams off my bike.

To be fair, the Racing 5 wheelset weight is claimed (on wiggle) as 1645grams for £175, so it's still a saving in weight yet a lot less expensive. But for me, 75 grams is a "neither here nor there" saving. I haven't answered your question, as I've never gone down the wheel upgrade route so haven't got a before/after comparison experience. All I can say is that, in your position, I wouldn't bother with upgrading my wheels unless there was a significant measurable improvement to be had.

*Massive budget creep, I know, but American Classic Road Tubeless wheels (1329grams inc. skewers) at £899 seemed to be the best 'bang for buck' value as an upgrade, according to that Cycling Weekly wheel test.

I have some Fulcrum racing 5s, nice enough wheel, lasted just under a year before both needed to be rebuilt after doing a century ride in pisshing down rain, was surprised the bearings felt soo knackered. Smooth wheel when bearings are working , kind of wish a spent a bit more and got campag Zondas though

Got some American Aero 420, impressed with those, light weight and a bit aero, really notice the aero different above 25 mph. I can now have a crack at the KOMS on long flat Strava segments that before I was barely in the top 50! Difference really surprised me, my club mates noticed it to . They are also light (1500grams) and very stiff and great on climbs, which I like to specialise in. Haven't used them enough to form a full opinion yet, but seem a really good all rounder.

I'd be a bit wary of always basing wheel options on weight, yes weight on the wheels is noticeable, as long as the wheels aren't too heavy it isn't an issue. I'd rather have a 1600g wheel over a 1400g that had thicker rim walls and more robust hub (the 1600g model that is)

Anyone put in a ribble order this week?

Put one in for my usual tyres, which come really quick. 2 days from placing they haven't been dispatched yet. Phoned them and was told they would be probably posted tomorrow and there are no stock issues, really needed them on by the weekend as one of my road bike tyres is deformed.

This:

I'm quite happy with my Supersix but at £1275 delivered I couldn't resist. I'm not completely sure about the black anodised paint (looks awful if it goes shiny) but the white one just had too many Canyon logos on it. Will put my Racing 3 tubeless wheels on and have ordered a semi compact chainset, VCLS post is next on the list if I can find a good deal on one. Looking forward to trying Di2...
