I'm looking forward to playing it, and think the co-op play will be fun!

Played through the first 30 mins earlier - fantastic. It's essentially the first game, but with more soul, more voicing, and a better setting. Love it!
That's why I don't think I'll bother getting it.The same thing happened in Left 4 Dead and L4D II. More of the same <<yawn>>am i the only person who doesnt get this game , maybe i didn't put enough time into it, but i bought portal 1 on steam ages ago as part of the bundle, and think i spent about 15mins on it but i got bored and uninstalled
But i always hear about the hype of this game, so tell me people what am i missing

I loved the first one, finding the dark, random humour and progressively difficult puzzles a joy to work through.
The is a certain amount of satisfaction to be gained from completing it, I think. I suppose it's a bit like completing a crossword or hammering the st out of your nan playing scrabble.
Maybe re-visit it. Give it an hour and if you still don't feel for it, it's just not your thing.

I found the same thing initially. I enjoyed the humour but looked at the rooms and thought it would be pretty short and a little pointless, but I went back into it a wee while later and the story telling / character really comes alive in the last couple of rooms and when you escape the test labs into the "back office" of the labs. But i always hear about the hype of this game, so tell me people what am i missing
I loved it and was compelled to finish the story to see how Gladys would meet her demise. Finishing it was one of the most satisfying and rewarding gaming experiences I've had (and the end credits song was a real cherry on top tbh!)
Now that it's back it's like finally getting the next instalment of a great novel and I'm really enjoying the character again especially as she's even more pointed now - I can't wait to beat her cheeky, evil ass!

after reading a couple of post i decided to re-install and spend more then 5 minutes on it, so far I'm about 20mins in and i don't have the urge to un-install so that's a good sign, think i will enjoy the game for a couple of hours at a time, but don't think i could become engrossed by it, as thinking hurts my brain and i can tell you might have to do that a lotI loved it and was compelled to finish the story to see how Gladys would meet her demise. What kept me hooked, other than solving the puzzles, was the different characters and the random things they say. I spent some time trying different things with the machine guns to see what they would come up with for example...It's definitely worth finishing for the end credits alone! Enjoy the cake!
