I'm after a Specialised hardrock Disc. Halfords have quoted rrp of £379 while Evans are doing it for £316!

I've heard murmurings online that evans take halfords vouchers....is this true? Anyone done it?

Evans do not take Halfords vouchers.

The Evans scheme is called 'Ride 2 Work'

The Halfords scheme is called 'Cycle 2 Work'

Similar in name but not interchangeable.

That's what I thought, but people from a google search have alluded to suggesting that people in the past have used them which is strange. Im just canvassing on here before considering going into evans and asking like a dumbass

Should have waited for that reply instead of walking in like a bellend!

One thing I would say....that's how you do a bikeshop! I refuse to get mine from Halfords though! Looks like Leisure Lakes accepts them so a trip to wolves is in order!

Thanks for the help!

It happens quite a lot so don't worry about it - at times I can barely remember whether we do cycle 2 work or ride 2 work - they're so damn similar sounding!

Is especially frustrating though when the customer is really happy with their bike, it's been built and checked, and then they come in with the wrong voucher!

Halfords are ordering in a Specialized Bike for their cycle to work scheme even though they don't actually sell them? I expect that's why it's more expensive.

Yeah, it seemed like that. The lady said specialised won't let their bikes be collected from halfords so it had to be delivered to work or home!

Seems like loads of companies have issues with halfords, do they fear substandard builds will damage their brand? I can see why as the two bikes I've had, and one from my partner have all had dodgy build problems!
