Hi peeps, so took my first trip to watch the touring cars at thruxton yesterday. Had a great day watching the racing, sadly didn't have as much fun taking the pics, there's really only 2 good spots on the track to get some good shots unless you have a media pass. So unfortunately a lot of my pics are the same angles as the chicane was packed, doesn't help that i could have done a with a longer reach aswell.

Had a slight accident on the way home with the camera aswell, had it on the front footwell, and a can of sprite fell onto it whilst braking, the can burst open and completely drenched the camera and lens. Luckily the D7000 and 70-200 are well weather sealed.

So the shots.....

Great stuff, you've got a decent variety of shots.

I think there are a few more places at Thruxton than initially appears - for instance I was shooting at Seagrave through the fence, you can shoot on the exit of Allard too and theres lots of different spots around the complex.

Brands GP is probably a better track, not sure about tohers. I have tried to shoot at Snetterton last year but that was worse than Thruxton.

My stuff fro the weekend is here : http://www.flickr.com/photos/hotrods/sets/72157626...
includes some from Friday testing
