£80 fine for litter dropping!
Discussion
No not me! Im a good boy and my rubbish goes in the appropriate receptacle!
In my local area we now have 'environmental officers' they look like regular coppers, but they issue a fixed £80 fine for litter dropping, 3 of my friends have been done for dropping roll-ups (are they not bio-degradable?)
Does anyone else have these in their area? also has anyone heard of someone getting away with it? I heard that you do not have to legally give them your details (name etc) there fore they cannot fine you???

Excellent!
Littering is disgusting in any shape or form in my opinion.
I agree, i prefer my town nice and clean, But i dont feel that a fine is the right thing. I feel it should be a warning on a first offence, then maybe 12 hours community service of litter picking for repeat offenders.Littering is disgusting in any shape or form in my opinion.
A lot of locals are upset about these 'environment officers' because it is just seen as a method of revenue collection.
