Married, cutting down to one car, no claims bonus.
Discussion
Up until now, my wife and I have had our own cars with our own insurance policies. We are both named drivers on each others so we can both drive about in whatever car suited the journey. (I'm not even sure if this is the correct thing to do, but thats how it is at the moment.)
We are thinking about cutting down to one car, but aren't sure how it will affect our respective no claims bonus. Obviously we both want to keep them and add to them (i'm under 5 years so would like to get at least that many.)
As far as i can tell, one of us will have to be main and holder, retaining the no claims and the other will have to be named and the no claims put on hold.
can anyone clear this up for me?
Thanks
