Hey guys,

This morning I was going over a short toll bridge on the motorbike, and rode round the barriers and down the bridge on the pedestrian pathway. Why I did this I can't say. I've had a lot of serious family issues recently but that's all I can think of.

I didn't ride down the pathway quickly, and didn't cause any danger. However, at the end I was stopped by the toll attendant who said that they had it all on CCTV And might well prosecute. Is this likely or is this bluffing? I paid the toll on the exit. They also claimed that they'd called the police but let me ride off so I know that was bs.

As above, no excuse and I know that I'm in the wrong. I don't think that this is massively serious though - will they bother with prosecution?

Cheers guys. Bit worried about this.

Ps - clean licence, no past history etc etc

Thanks for the replies. The original post is badly worded. It was an area I hadn't been before, and I thought that there was a separate late for cyclists and motorbikes to cars, which I went down. Obviously still inexcusable, but slightly less mad than would perhaps be deduced from the original post. I just had other things on my mind. Wholly careless rather than dangerous.

Not denying my error, but my mental health is fine. Appreciate the concern though.

Thanks

The toll bod could make a complaint, CCTV may be used to support the complaint. The toll bod cannot prosecute you. It would be up to the police to determine if they could be bothered to do anything about it even with the CCTV.

As previously posted, it sounds as if you should seriouly get things sorted in your head before you get back on the bike again.
Useful, thanks. If the toll booth stand to make nothing from a complaint I would hope that nothing comes out of it.
