old news I suspect, but new to the M25(this type).

Please see :-

http://www.redflex.com/index.php/en/media-centre-r...

Redflex are the company that make HADECS3

These have been fitted between J5 and J6 on the M25, which I assume will be operational when the road works have finished.

They are to enforce the reduced speed limit in congestion, however I seen no reason why they will not enforce the 70mph limit within ACPO guide lines, after all they are fully digital and on a comms line.

Pictures from a mate:-

Just thought people would like to see.

Landshark,

I know you are obviously not responsible for the cameras, but have YOU been advised not to exceed ACPO guide lines on this stretch if NOT on a job?

If YOU exceed the limit and a camera takes YOUR picture, what happens?

I went to Gatwick Last night, both sides, flashing like Christmas ..

Interesting prior, there was a yellow 60 in a red circle .. yet at the camera sites it was white 60 in red circle ie obey...

So I wonder if the other yellow font signs are illegal .. since I though 'yellow was advisory ...

Or have I got that all wrong confused

Based on the link below, looks like the Bristol HADECS has been switched on .. so I suspect the M25 will be shortly around J5 to J6

HUNDREDS of drivers on the M25 have been nabbed by the stealth speed cameras in just two months.

The grey cameras were fitted between junctions 5 for Sevenoaks and 7 for the M23 during a £129 million ‘smart motorway’ scheme.

The first speed traps were installed near Sevenoaks last May, while other devices were installed on northern sections in December.

Kent Police figures show some 528 motorists were fined in a two-month period for breaking the 70 miles per hour limit.
