Caution, the law has changed regarding insurance as you now MUST have continuous insurance in place. So DVLA can easily check every car that is not SORNed and send a warning/penalty fine.

This thread was actually about no longer having to display a tax disc and the general public potentially report untaxed cars ... hence I bet it will cause confusion...

Nothing has changed ... it is just you don't have to display anything in your wind screen from 1st October 2014 ...

No paper disc from 1st will be issued.

If you have a disc, you don't have to display after 1st October.

Police can check Insurance/MOT/Road Tax electronically

I'll bet there will be numptys who think they don't need road tax anymore, and of course they will be receiving fines in the post ..

As aside, traffic wardens often took pictures of tax discs, to prove the actual car parked.

All those 'cloned' reports will flood in Ha Ha
