now, some facts I have accumulated..... on managed motorway sections, only when a lower than national limit is in force, to manage traffic flow, do the overhead gantry cameras work....... they do not enforce the national speed limit.....

these new hadecs 3 cameras, which cover all 3/4 lanes from one camera, from the side of the gantry, as well as being used to manage motorways....

does anyone cateragorically know of any are being used to enforce the national speed limit..... ie when the gantry displays are blank and the motorway is not being managed.....

if any are, can we start a list here and keep it sweet and short for easy reference....

You have your facts wrong.

They do enforce the NSL. Why would they not?
I read they could, capability wise, but no police force did employ them as such, unless the situation has changed.....

Certainly last year I saw a porker bombing it around the north east section of the m25, well over 100, and not a single flash...

So should the question be which police forces are enforcing the nsl using hadecs technology...

BTW I'm asking this outta curiosity, on motorways I generally cruise at 70, better for the mpg and makes little time difference in the real world

The new cameras on the M25 between the M26 & M23 (there are Two of them on each side just before & after the clacket lane services) work they are always going off I was sitting at an indicated 80mph when the guy beside me went through doing around 85mph & then the evening sky lit up
The clacket lane cameras are always going off, but they do not seem to "work" - nobody has posted about receiving an NIP from them on any forum as of yet, although I wouldn't be surprised if they did very soon.

They went through a stage of flashing almost everyone a couple of months back: I was flashed at 68 in a 70. They seem to have stopped doing that now though, and only flash those over the limit.
These cameras have there own thread, let's keep this one as a resource for known enforcement please
