One for any BIB that are allowed to answer this on open forum. On an ANPR check is it only the VRN that activates a flag, if VRN has no other flags against it? e.g, if someone put legal plates on another car of same make/model ,but differing colour, would it flag ,with no other indicators .

Nice one, great to see that with all that computing info at DVLA , any vehicle of any make with legal plates won't flag up.No make/ model /colour, just a legal VRN. We had this on a weekly basis, one week "delivery" was in a Purple mode, next week in another colour ,next week purple etc. All in vehicles (SAME MAKE/MODEL/YEAR) with same VRN . BUT all showing as a vehicle with legal VRN. System has failings, and these are being exploited, IMHO. NO reflection on the users, it's another failure of HMG IT systems.
System looks at VRN and checks if there's VED/ Insurance.MOT on the vehicle - yes = legal
Perhaps it be asking, if should now be interrogating if colour or make/model is as per DVLA records for that VRN.
Reason for the post. For those saying "it's in the clue APNR", that was not my question . I was asking those who use if they [b]could tell me [/]without giving away confidential info on the things looked at.
