I do I speed everyday for both pleasure and work the rascal that I am.
On the way to work I always end up doing 75ish in the one stretch of national speed limit road I drive on and once I am at work I regularly drive at 50 plus when I should be driving at 40

Now one of those horrid despicable( oh god think of the children) law breaking speeds im sure il be applauded for and the other il be roundly castigated as a scourge upon the earth who should be stoned to death several times.

so why is it considered relatively good for me to speed while driving an ungainly hgv yet if I do it in my nice nimble safe car im a bad bad boy?

Speeding in a hgv is even worse. In the weather today, hgvs were still driving 10 feet off the bumper of cars on the M6. Madness. The new over gantry speed limits seem to be optional for many drivers. Maybe the cameras on them haven't caught many yet?
you should see the response I get from car and truck drivers when I do not speed in my hgv
the worst are women carrying their sprogs to school normally
