.. my legal plate is just duck-taped over the top of my "illegal" one (spacing)? Would save having to unscrew and replace them if I can just stick the legit ones over the top at MOT time. Yes, I am that lazy.
Just trying to save myself the 5 mins of replacing the plates is all should it not be required. Saying that, a re-test is free so if it fails on plate hangoffyneess I'll screw the legal ones on.
