Extent of likely penalty?

One of our key employees has been done for 73 in a 40 (variable limit on M6 / M6 toll). Female, 28. Already has 3 points from a couple of years ago. I presume a ban of some sort is likely. Is there any merit these days in their boss attending the court hearing and saying they'll lose their job if the ban is lengthy?
