3 points and 100 fine for tyre on 1.5.7

So last night i was out driving with a friend and noticed the traffic police infront of me going about 10-15mph in a 30. Obviously i caught up with them pretty quickly but made sure i kept my distance because the police up here seem to have some kind of power trip ( i live in Dundee ). Next minute the pulled in and as i went past they pulled right out behind me, at this point i turned down a little allyway to see if they would follow me and they did... Next minute the blues are on and before i know it they are giving me a big lecture about how people my age ( 20 ) die young from driving to fast and asked if i thought i was trying to be funny speeding behind them. I got out my car as one of the officers checked my tyres check my tyres and i was actually shocked to see one of them had worn pretty bad although still legal as the tool they used came back as 1.5.7 at one point, 1.8.2 at another and 1.2.9. It was at this point i started explaining that the tyre was going to be changed anyway and was booked in to a garage as i wanted winter tyres. This was fine with the officer and we started having a good chat about tyres etc. Next minute his college comes over, asks for the readings and then streight away comes out with '' Thats you getting 3 points and an £100 fine, not so big infront of your friend now are you''. It was at this point i slightly lost it with him and started going on about being stopped for no reason etc. Next minute im being shoved into the back of the police car and given a lecture about my attitude and the fact that if i had not kicked off he would have let me away with it, also that he is the law and he can pull over whoever he likes and thats hes going to pull me over everytime he sees me again etc...! Obviously i was going to be anoyed as it was pretty much on the the line for being illegal! He then turned to the other officer and said '' Lets just nick him'' and he begun writing the ticket. So after a nice big arguement and a hole load of abuse that actually there was no need for i was on my way again!
So here we are the next day and im just asking for some advice. Im going to have the tyre changed tomorrow but i was told that if an mot station would pass the tyre i could have a leg to stand on? i know im going to get abuse for being cheeky etc but i was really anoyed at them for giving me the points right away.

I think some of you may have read it wrong. I was apparently pulled over for speeding, although they were creeping up the road at about 10mph and I'm not really sure why they think I'd speed when they were infront of me! I should be taking the tyre to a garage this week to be looked at, I will also be looking to see if they still have footage of pulling me over. Looking back maybe I should not have turned around in an alleyway but really I just wanted to prove a point! They tyre read 1.2 on the outside, 1.57 in the middle and 1.8 on the inside... My tracking has been out so I am not sure if that had something to do with it. As for attitude, if a police officer pulls you over and comes to the window and immediately starts mouthing off about showing off etc and then gives me 3 points and a £100 fine straight away im obviously not going to be happy! I can assure you I have been pulled over before and Iv done the attitude test and it's worked, but I'm not going to be nice to an officer if he isn't nice to me..
