One of my employees is due for sentencing early in the new year at Crown Court. I am writing a character reference for him.
I believe the correct way to address the judge is My Lord / My Lady.
Is this correct or should it be Your Honour.
Many thanks for your help Gents

Many thanks Gents for your advice. I'll stick with My Lord / My Lady. I am sure that he or she won't be to offended frown

Well I don't believe my letter did much to help his cause. He received an 18 month prison sentence.

One of the guys that works for me passed on a big thank from the unfortunate chap that went to prison. His sentence was actually 15 months whilst everyone else apparently received a minimum of a 2 year jail term and no one had the right to appeal. So I am pleased that I could be of some help.
He was not involved in a brawl, he was not thieving, no drugs or drink. For the very incredulous reason that he went to prison I feel I am unable to explain fully the circumstances.
