Getting info on a fatal crash

There was a 'road collision' on an NSL lane local to me recently in which two people died. There has been plenty of speculation locally regarding the causes and I assume there will be an investigation and wondered if the results of this would be publicly available / published somewhere?

I only ask because already the local papers are quoting residents that are saying it was 'an accident waiting to happen' and 'a very dangerous road ... If two people have died then it's proof that this road is dangerous' - and as I have driven this road almost every day for 15 years I am interested in the actual cause, and any changes to the road that may result from this.

Thanks to all those who replied, and yes it was the incident on Harvel Road - Just to add some closure to the thread, It appears from locals who actually know those involved, that the car with two young lads and a girl in it, was driving in a rather over-enthusiastic manner and lost control and collided with a tree, then subsequently the other vehicle, which sadly was driven by the grandfather of one of the boys.
