So what was the bullying by the police in 2012? Same issue?
No they weren't 'bullying' me, neither was i claiming they were.... I was trying to give advice to someone else, to contact Patterson Law, who was in need of professional motoring opinion regarding a problem.

Because anything that is legal AND meaningful is too expensive.

So we get Lawsy (who could very easily put a beautifully legible sign on his car that said 'LAWSY'S AMAZING PORSCHE') investing a small amount of money to tell people:

A: It is Lawsy in front, and
B: He hasn't got as much money as he'd like you to think he has, otherwise he'd be LAW 5Y.
YOU CAN ONLY BUY A PLATE IF ITS FOR SALE, but you can continue taking the piss and being demeaning as it would appear thats all you are good for fella.
But you can run your car on X476 KPL (or whatever) and put a LAWSY sign on your bumper if it's that important...

If what you wanted wasn't available, why spend money on a naff compromise, then dig your heels in and end-up in court (bang to rights) for naff-all good reason?

Surely life's too short to go out of your way to invite this sort of bother in through your front door?
YES. In hindsight, TOTALLY. Just pisses me off when you pay good money to use something as was originally advertised and then they move the goalposts and treat you like a crim. Suppose better get used to it as soon enough will be shafted by the magistrates LOL....

Wasn't available, nor L4WSY. Neither wish to sell either....
Unfortunately - the longer the word/phrase - the rarer the plates become.

It's easy to get plates with two letter/number combinations (e.g. V8) or 3 letter/number combinations (e.g. V12, BMW, LAW, LEE).

Once you get to 4 plus however - the combinations become a lot more difficult due to having to represent some letters by similarly shaped numbers. Couple that with a fairly common nickname like yours only serves to compound the issue.

Both me any my wife have private plates. We just treat it as a bit of fun. Hers kinda looks like her nickname (its a very uncommon one). Mine is V8 plus my initials (I have a car with a V8 engine). Whilst they mean something to us because we know what we are looking for - to most people on the outside looking in they are pretty meaningless. Both our plates are fully legal.
Had a very well known number plate company contact the people who currently 'have the assignment rights" to both L4WSY and LAW5Y and neither wish to sell, even with a 5 figure sum offered. I have purchased a 3 digit and 3 letter, '911' dateless plate, which is going on the car this week. No need to fk about with numbers etc etc.
Was REALLY looking for advice with how to best deal with my predicament in court, when a percentage on here took it as an opportunity to be abusive. Lesson learnt....cheers anyways.
