My own more amateur attempt: Merc passes at 0.01, and goes under the bridge at 0.05 (I'd say a little before). So 4s. Camera hasn't quite passed the bridge by 0.08, I'd say it was on course to so so by 0.09. So 8s. So, whatever speed the camera car was doing, Merc was doubling.
Very nearly spot on, well worked out.According to the article and the GPS on the video, the camera car was doing mid-60s. The driver is claiming he calculated the Merc must have been doing 120-ish, so yes, possibly double the speed.
"Hello, police? I'm on a dual carriageway and I've just been overtaken.'
Waste of time, although they are both heading north towards Wymondham; the main police control centre is about 5 minutes further up the road so maybe he was expecting them all to jump out and nab the speeding driver. Well, 5 minutes up the road for the Merc driver - 10 minutes for Mr Do-Gooder.

My thoughts "Why the fk is the car with the camera only doing 65 MPH?"
When I saw the speed my somewhat cynical view was that the camera car may have been tanking along at NSL or above for a while, saw the rapidly approaching Merc and knowing he would incriminate him on camera, slowed down to legal speed for the duration of the video that he showed to the police.I may be wrong.
