I don't watch many TV ads, but saw this Aviva Drive App one featuring Paul Whitehouse.......

AFAIK the only device visible should be a sat nav - so what is the legal position on putting a phone in a (in this case) position obscuring the view ahead? I can see this sort of thing being a major distraction rather than encouraging safety. Mobile phones in cars are one of the fatal 4, and shouldn't be encouraged! I can't believe an insurance co is advocating this (or maybe I can in Aviva's case!)

What happens if you use your phone as a satnav? Ive never heard of a satnav being the only thing that can be attached to a windscreen.
