Some years ago council converted the tennis court 25m from my garden boundary into a skatepark with at first two, followed later by a third steel ramp.
Its hardly been used for years but recently hoards of micro scooter riders have adopted it as good fun.

Its like living in a Harland and Wolff shipyard.

Following our complaints to council, parky now locks skatepark at night which is an improvement and local PCSO has tried to reduced foul language shouting issues but we've still got this noise for up to 13.5 hours a day.

Enviro Health have dutifully tested and confirmed a "statutory noise nuisance" but solution is less clear.
Suggestions of soundproofing ramps by spraying foam inside and/or relocating skate park away from houses cost money and time. As such we are being told to suffer it until whenever funding has been found and changes completed.

Am I being unfair in suggesting that they close and lock the skateboard park pending finding a solution? Anyone know a good solicitor who can prod the council into action? I'm going to have to move out over the summer holiday!

Its been BMX users for years which hasn't been a problem. The main issue now is the solid wheeled micro scooters.
I have engaged with the users in the past but there are many sub-groups now using the ramps at different times that its difficult.

I work a varied shift pattern and after night shifts can't sleep unless its pissing down (hence quiet).
