Hi guy's, Got caught speeding over 8 and a half months ago, I was caught doing 85mph in a 30 I know it was daft but i didn't see the Mobile speed van and it was local and never at all been in that spot before,

Anyways i received a NIP within 2 working days, But the car was in my dads name so i re sent the NIP as me driving the car, Got the new NIP back in my name.

Been 8 months since i last received any letters from them, I have not received anymore letters after i re sent my NIP it's easily been over 6 months and no court date or anything have they forgot about me ? i doubt it very much but i can dream right lol

What do you guys think is going to happen to me ? I've never been caught speeding been driving for 7 years I just really messed up big time frown

From what I've read i guess i will receive a 57 day ban or could they put the hammer down on me and give me a 6months ban ?

So old enough to know better. You'll find little sympathy around these parts for such stupidity.
I don't need any sympathy i just need to find out what's going to happen and why they have had no contact with me in 8 months, After they sent out the NIP in my name.

This issue is that the knives are already out out for him because 30 means built up area, kids, fluffy bunnies when in reality it now means there might be a house 200 yards away from the road. There are 30 limits and 30 limits. If the OP can get up to 85 (probably showing 90), the limit is probably a lot too low.
What can i say i messed up big time and the speedo was easily showing 100mph + as i was going down hill and braked as hard as i could.

Haters are going to hate I admit I was very stupid and shouldn't of ever done that kind of speed in a 30mph zone it was ridiculous and I am going to pay the price for doing it lol

But maybe it's gave me the wake up call i needed.

i'll take a risk here and suggest the guy is from one of our ethnic groups?

the type of post and the link to his previous post about being a 'named driver' makes this spring to mind

i'm happy to be proved wrong
Wow.

What relevance does that have at all?

The guys a plum for driving quick, your generalisations/assumptions about his ethnicity are embarrassing.
This.

Assuming you realise how lucky you've been, maybe you'll take it steadier in future to avoid having to post another thread explaining how you've killed somebody. 70 on a normal road is ridiculous and I'm amazed at the folks who have tried to defend doing 85. No excuse at all.
Let me worry about that buddy cheers.

Surely you have to retake your test too as obviously you can't read road signs.

Judging by your smug attitude towards other posters I'm sure you'll be posting this on Facebook or what ever, nearly triple the speed limit and you get 57 day ban, that's ridiculous.

'yeh, doin 85 in a 30, got off innit, f** d polize'.
Hahaha stay mad son it's called a good mitigating statement no need to cry about it prick.

Do I read this right (and ignoring the shameless smug attitude from the OP for getting away with this ridiculously lightly) the OP's dad received a NIP, returned it, the OP received a NIP which was completed and returned, the OP received a court summons, appeared in court and was convicted and sentenced, all within 15 working days!

These things usually take months to get to court, or is the judicial service moving as fast as the OP these days!
It was well over 6 months wait you must not hAve read the thread at all and posted this...
